Day-care centres and family day care offer comprehensive options for supplementary childcare. Day-care centres look after children from the age of three months all the way to primary school. Furthermore, family day care has capacities for around 70 preschool and schoolchildren. The childcare service of the St.Gallen Childcare Association organises the family day care.
Day and childcareThere are 15 locations across St.Gallen that offer day and childcare for children attending primary school or nursery in the city. You can send your child to various centres, from Monday to Friday between 7.00 am and 6.00 pm. Full-day care is available for nine weeks during the school holidays.
Highly skilled personnel and carefully selected specialists look after your children throughout their daily routine. Day care also includes healthy and nutritional meals. Children will receive a full breakfast, lunch and a snack, depending on the time they are looked after. All meals are freshly prepared in on-premises kitchen facilities.
You can send your application directly to the head of the day-care at your child’s school.
Remember that the use of the city’s day-care services is voluntary and subject to fees.
